The My Little Pony Comic
The My Little Pony Comic

Stories
Well, this was the crux of the comic!! Stories which revealed the personalities, foibles, traits and temper tantrums of Ponyland!
This was the true heart of UK Ponyland when I was a kid. Most, if not all of the pony line was featured at one time or another in these comics. And when a pony was "retired" from shelves, the comic character would also be withdrawn, only to make occasional reappearances later on as residents of "Memory Lane".
The pony comic made a brief reappearance in 1999, and at time of writing there has been one Pony Comic for the 2003 edition - a "Special" edition for October.A new line of new comics here are projected for Easter :)
Aside from My Little Pony there was also My Little Pony and Friends comic, which came out monthly and featured other characters alongside the ponies - including Moondreamers, Glo Friends and Potato Head Kids.
On this page are links to several ZIP files, each of which contains a comic story scanned in complete form from a MLP comic. I have not scanned the entirety of any comic, nor have I scanned a story from every comic. I've just chosen a selection, to give people a taste of what the ponies were supposed to be like in Ponyland.

Some memorable comic personas:
MAJESTY: Overall Queen of Ponyland and the source of all wisdom. Yes, very annoying, but still :) She had possession of the Magic Horseshoes (which granted her invisibility) and a magic mirror which allowed her to keep watch over ponyland. She also had special unicorn magic all of her own, which enabled her to intervene when things went wrong.
BABY LUCKY: The first boy pony in ponyland, Baby Lucky's best friend was Spike the Dragon. When baby Lucky said "Happy Go Lucky" and clicked his hooves odd things happened. Strangely he was always unaware of this power.
TOOTSIE: Tootsie the exciteable always muddled her words. When she said words in a confused fashion (I.e Pollipop Latch), lollipops sprung up from the ground. Uh yeah. Whatever.
FIZZY: Clumsy and scatty as the cartoon, Fizzy's big night of the year was "Fizziwhizz" night, when she was in charge of Pony fireworks. Yep, MLP's equivalent to Bonfire Night - there was almost always a story involving Fizziwhizz Night around November 1st.
MAGIC STAR: Rather like Majesty, only less annoyingly so, Magic Star was "the most magical" of all the ponies, and could cast spells or grant wishes whenever she felt like it.
GUSTY: The baby pony nurse. Though Cotton Candy was the first ponyland nurse, Gusty had charge of the Baby Ponies and was known as "Nurse" Gusty.
MEDLEY: Clever and cautious, Medley had great musical abilities - drumming thunder on clouds with her hooves and waving her tail to make music like a harp. Usually spent most of her days trying to get Firefly out of trouble.
SEASPRAY: Arguably the 'leader' of the Sea Ponies, Seaspray had a land boat and was good friends with Miranda the Mermaid.
