1988: Brush 'n' Grow Ponies
RINGLETS
Periwinkle earth pony with yellow, pale pink, dark purple and blue mane and tail, yellow headband with pink flowers symbol.
The first thing that I must strongly emphasise is that my Ringlets' pink streak has faded completely to white. The second streak of hair SHOULD be a nice pink colour.
In some ways, Ringlets is the most striking of the Brush 'n' Grow ponies, with her unusual coloured body and dark purple in her hair. In the Pony Comic, she also had another purpose - like many of her set, she had a specific magical trick involving the headband that, coincidentally, makes up her symbol. (See how they did that?). This headband she could wear as a crown and, when she put it on, it would become jewelled, with flowing ribbons to make her look beautiful. Yes, she had aspirations of being a PRINCESS Brush and Grow, obviously!
The headband, so the stories went, would transform into a crown of ribbons and flowers when worn, and was her very special accessory. Sadly she wasn't sold with a hairband any more than Bouquet was sold with a hat - so it was all up to kids' imaginations from thereon in!
