Rainbow Rider was the explorer and adventurer of her set, riding rainbows around Ponyland and - occasionally - turning water into rainbow droplets, for whatever occasion called for it. For some reason she was always drawn in the comics a lot more darkly purple than the pony actually turned out to be.

In the North American release she was called Streaky :S

The pale pink ringlet in her hair can fade to white in sunlight (this isn't a variation) and she can lose her curls quite easily, especially if groomed when wet.
