The montage to the right is entirely made up of clips from the First
Live concert. The songs are in order of play:
~Tsubasa Naki Sedai (Intro)
~The House of the Rising Sun (American Rock Medley)
~ Tsubasa Naki Sedai (instru)
~Seishun Ni Riyuu Wa Iranai
~Tsubasa Naki Sedai
~American Rock Medley - Introducing the Band (solo)
The clip where Midorikawa-san says his name has him with a cheeky grin
on his face. This is because two seconds before this he introduced himself as Okiayu
Ryoutarou, just to see if anyone noticed...
There are some people who don't like Midorikawa-san's voice. I don't really understand those people. Midorikawa-san has a lovely voice, and he sings in tune, which not all singers do (lol). He's also very mischievous on stage (lol). When the band were discussing the kinds of music they liked listening to, he piped in with (rough translation)"I like sexy voices...everyone knows that, right? Like Okiayu Ryoutarou's..." (Poor Okiayu-san...LOL :) Though it's well known the two of them are good buddies!)
For some reason when he voices Arai Tougo he sounds so
much like Tamahome, but when he sings for EMU it's very different :)
His bass-playing is pretty cool too - he seems to be a fairly musical
person considering he also plays the sax, although I don't think he
ever did so for EMU ;)
In the Equal Live he performs Tsuitenai with Ishikawa
Hideo which is one of the funniest things on the planet, I swear. They
are both so brilliant. He also performs a serious slow song which
proves he can do both things. And he's just as mischievous. You sort of
wonder if that's why he was cast in as Arai Tougo in the first
place...;) Unfortunately because of the format of the VHS and my PC's
capture device, I can't even get screen captures from Equal Live onto
my PC - I can only capture from the Thank You DVD and Tsuitenai isn't
on this. (Gomen nasai). I realise that the Equal Live VHS has been
deleted from production and is very hard to get. But if you can, I'd
recommend it JUST for Tsuitenai :)
I have yet to properly go through the Memorial
Collection essay book and try to translate any of his interview
information, although I hope to get to it once I've ploughed through
everything else I have to go through *lol*.
