1988: Big Brother Ponies

Just in case you couldn't guess, Chief was meant to be a fire-pony...though ironically he was rarely, if ever used for that purpose in the My Little Pony comics. On one occasion, he was roped into following the bad tempered First Tooth Baby Ponies into the land of Slitherwigs and Ladders in an attempt to keep them out of trouble. On another, he was immersed in the fight against the dreaded Smooze, that came and overtook Ponyland in one of the My Little Pony and Friends comics. His ladder would be used for rescuing silly kittens from trees, but it doesn't seem that Ponyland was overly flammable!
