1988: Summer Wing Ponies

SKY DANCER

Dark pink "winger" with blue mane and tail, white dove with olive branch symbol, yellow, green and pink butterfly wings.

Sky Dancer was never really an emphatic character in the pony comic - which I think was something of a shame, for with her 'dove of peace' symbol, she could have made an interesting addition to Ponyland. She did make the odd appearance - but not really enough to know her as an individual.

She also was another victim of "Repeated Name Syndrome", having swiped the name of the first set Rainbow Pony "Skydancer" for her own. Ironically, the pony for which she is named also has birds in flight as a symbol - an inspiration, perhaps?
