As with many of her set, the symbols easily wear and fade, and it is hard to find a Twilight in good condition. She was only sold in the original unicorn and pegasus release, and was not rereleased in the 1984-5 set.

Despite this, Twilight has a distinctive body tone variation - my Twilight (as pictured below) is decidedly paler than the usual edition, and is in fact closer to the Italian version in shade. However, she is made in Hong Kong.

Twilight was only sold as part of this set and only in North America. I am not sure as to whether she was sold in Europe or not, but I know she was never sold in the UK.

TWILIGHT: PALER BODY

In terms of her character, Twilight was mysterious and somewhat nomadic. She appeared and disappeared in a cloud of mist and was not a frequent character in the UK comics. She probably appeared more in story book stories, giving advice or coming to the rescue, but didn't seem to live with the other ponies. Twilight only mingled with the rest of Ponyland when there was a crisis, and preferred to keep herself to herself.

She appears in the original animated special, where it is shown that she can disappear at will (what later becomes known as 'winking in and out, a skill shared by most later unicorns in the animation) and also that she does so by wishing.
