Argh, another case of the dreaded Repeated Name Syndrome. This was becoming an ever more encroaching feature of My Little Pony as time went on - particularly in the North American line where several of the ponies that were re-named for the UK had rehashed identities.

Buttons is no exception. She bears little or no resemblance to the original Buttons character - the blue hair and the pose being the only vague link. Some collectors call her "Buttons & Bows" to make her more distinguishable - but I'm afraid her name is actually only "Buttons."

Unlike the previous year's unicorn, "Milky Way", Buttons had no streak of colour in her mane.

She was never sold in the UK.
