1989: Candy Cane Ponies

Caramel Crunch was the closest thing that Ponyland had to a nursery nurse in the latter years of My Little Pony. After the mantles set down by Gusty and then Lollipop in previous comic stories, Caramel Crunch was the pony often to be found around the baby ponies...in particular the cute and cheeky newborn ponies.

As her symbol suggests, she was also involved in popcorn to a good degree. Probably because of both these things, she is the Candy Cane Pony who got the most comic exposure, and the one I remember appearing the most times.

She also had her own magic trick - when she blinked at raindrops, they turned into popcorn.

Hrm.

I wouldn't like to be out with her in a rainstorm...
