These are the oddest Newborn Twins Hasbro made - by dint of the fact they do not share a symbol. Sleepy Head and Sleep Tight instead have symbols which follow the theme of their playset - though they do have the reversed colour scheme which helps identify them as twins.

These girls were definitely sold in the UK in two formats - firstly in the grey-carded baggie release at market stalls (I know that the ones we bought in 1994 cost about £1.20) and secondly as an extra freebie inside playsets - often those in foreign language boxes, which suggested a whole bunch of extra My Little Pony junk was foisted on the UK as the line began to die. (Does this suggest that the UK kiddies were the most eager pony fans still by this time? Or is it simply that our stores knew a good, cheap thing when they saw it?)

In each case, they were sold seperately from each other, with nothing on the packaging to suggest their identity or that they were one of twins.
