1984: Play and Care Set Baby Ponies/Baby Ponies Year 3

Baby Blossom was one of both of the North American and the United Kingdom release sets. She was also sold as part of the set in Germany - who were sold on cards with bottles instead of in boxes with masses of accessories.

Baby Blossom was a sweet natured, uncomplicated Baby Pony in the comic stories. I remember one story where she was getting ready for a party and her costume got covered in paint. She tried to wash it but all the colours came out, so she had to get another pony (possibly Sprinkles, but I don't remember exactly) to help her dip her outfit in the rainbow to make it the most colourful one there.

And naturally, she liked flowers. Lots and lots of flowers. Well, she was Blossom's daughter!

Unlike Blossom, Baby Blossom had white hair and not lavender.

Baby Blossom had a re-vamp and a re-issue via Mail Order in the early nineties in North America. Now "pearlised", she had lost her freckles (and this is possibly the best way of telling a genuine pearly baby Blossom from an original one customised!)
