1984: Baby Ponies Year 3
BABY GLORY
White baby unicorn with lavender mane and tail (blue streak in the mane), GLITTERING purple comet/ shooting star symbol
Baby Glory was one of the first Baby Unicorn ponies to be made as part of the pony line. Yes, you guessed it. As with most of the unicorn types of this era, she was omitted completely from the UK release. She was, however, featured in the comics. Mean, mean mean.
Baby Glory's resemblance to her mother is clear, but she still has some significant differences. Her hair is a paler colour than her mother's dark purple and her comet symbol has one tail and not two. The star is also purple and not silver like adult Glory's.
Baby Glory was introduced in comic #1 in the UK - in a most unique manner of conception. It's true, everyone - Baby Ponies come out of magic mirrors. And if you don't believe me, go check the comic section of the Media part of my site - the story is RIGHT there!

Baby Glory had a re-vamp and a re-issue via Mail Order in the early nineties in North America. Now "pearlised", she had also changed colour to blue and lost the streak in her hair. Nope, Hasbro were not concentrating on accuracy!
She was also sold in Continental Europe (but NOT the UK) on card with just a bottle accessory. This Baby Glory had a PAINTED symbol, and not a glittering one like the pony in the North American release.
