1989: Perfume Puff Ponies

Powder blue earth pony with pale pink poofy mane and tail, yellow and pink spritzer symbol. Scented.

Although the whole set was sold in the UK, distribution must have been a touch wonky, because I never ever saw any of them in stores in my part of the country, and finding them at carboot sales round here has also always been something of a nightmare. This pony shown on this page was actually my first ever encounter with the set in the vinyl - and that came about six years after the ponies were first put on sale.

Therefore I can only conclude that some areas had them more liberally than others.

Dainty Dahlia's comic appearances included one adventure with an odd royal friend called Princess Pom Pom. During the course of this story, we not only learn that Dainty Dahlia is a good friend of this princess, but has the special magic ability to turn gemstones into scented flowers - and back again, simply by blinking.

Dainty Dahlia's hair is meant to be pale pink - any with white hair have faded from sun.
