Dipper has some similarities in colour scheme to the pretty and pearly "Ripple" of the year before. Her pose style is the newer looking up pose, and her float is one of the original style turtles, but in new colours. The pink in her hair is not a shade that seems to fade (which makes a nice change!).

Dipper's backcard story talks about her wishing that she could fly up from the sea to touch the stars. After failing to jump and sliding off the back of a whale (cunningly called Mr Whale), she has the help of North Star. North Star flies her up to the stars to greet the Big Dipper - who cleverly shares her name in part - and as a result the Big Dipper (or the Plough, as we UK'ers would call it) lit up the sky with extra sparkle in her honour.

She was never sold in the UK.
