1989: Sweetheart Sister Ponies

To my mind, the two members of the set not released in the United Kingdom seem a bit random and thrown together. Whilst the other four all follow distinct patterns - monocolour designs, earrings that match eyeshadow/symbols/accessories - Frilly Flower and Fancy Flower have hair colours that differ from their body colours.

Please note that Fancy Flower is NOT wearing her lace ribbon. (Or she might be, but I'm not sure purple is her colour). The ribbon she is wearing actually belongs to Dainty - I just forgot to take it off her before I took the photograph :)

Fancy Flower was never sold in the UK. Because the US release did not have the same logical colour coding of earring and accessories, I have no idea what colour brush or ribbon she came with. However I am fairly sure she came with a floral brush and a lace ribbon, and that, like the whole set in North America, she was sold sealed onto card, rather than in a box.

It's also worth noting that she had the same pale pink hair that generally fades in sunlight, so any whitehaired versions of this pony are liable to be badly sun-faded rather than a variation.
