1990: Rainbow Curl Ponies

Rainbow Cloud was the first Rainbow Curl pony to be introduced into the comic, when Caramel Crunch and Sugar Sweet took a trek into the mountains and discovered a world full of rainbows.

Rainbow Cloud's special magic - as her name suggests - involved clouds and the fact that, when she wiggled her nose at one - 'anything can happen'. In this particular instance, it rained rainbow popcorn - but whether she or the Candy Canes did it is still open to debate ;)

She was called Raincurl in the North American release.

The pale pink ringlet in her hair can fade to white in sunlight (this isn't a variation) and she can lose her curls quite easily, especially if groomed when wet.
