These baby ponies were later issued Mail Order versions of the early Play and Care Set Baby ponies from the US line in 1984. Though some of them had changed their features slightly, they are still very recogniseable as the originals -except for one thing. All of these were distinctly covered in a pearly sheen!
This issue happened around 1989-90, and can probably be seen as a bit of reminiscence for the past, although why Baby Surprise got to be yellow and Baby Glory, blue, is anyone's guess
Because of the pearly sheen, some of the ponies kept their original body tone more firmly than the originals had, and Baby Blossom in particular is very much more lavender than her predecessor. The two baby unicorns also have no stripe of colour in their hair.
Only one name change happened - Baby Moondancer became Baby Moondreamer, though sometimes collectors mistakenly call her Baby Moondancer instead.

On account of the pearliness, they also did not have glittered symbols.
These ponies were not sold in the UK.
