1987: Flutter Ponies

WIND DRIFTER

Yellow flutter pony with green mane and tail,aqua and purple windmill symbol, irridescent wings (often missing).

Wind Drifter. The flutter pony with the almost unhealthy fixation for everything wind and milly. Seriously, she often featured in the comic whenever there was a windmill in the offing - rescuing people, or just paying a visit for the sake of old friendships. Yep, while Wing Song was happily writing melodies and Cloud Puff was dreaming her life away, Wind Drifter was probably working out how to build her own mill out of grass and pine cones.

Like with all the Flutter Ponies, Wind Drifter had a rough"poem" for a backcard story, which was also printed up in the Fact File. They give the vaguest hint to the pony's intended character, and Wind Drifter's was as follows:

"Flutter Ponies bring good luck,
With love that never ends,
And everytime you need her help,
Wind Drifter helps her friends ."

(So long as the help has to do with Windmills, one presumes...)
