1987: Flutter Ponies
WING SONG
Pink flutter pony with blue mane and tail, dark pink mobile (or wind chime) with musical notes symbol, irridescent wings (often missing).
Yeeks, sorry for the messy pony hair :P. Ignore the ribbon :)
A common collector mistake is to call Wing Song "Wind" Song. Though in some respects that would be a more LOGICAL name for her - who ever said this was done logically? Her name according to Hasbro's listing, the fact file, her box/backcard and other documentation is WinG Song.
Wing Song was ponyland's very own virtuoso. She would write music on a whim and had the temperament that goes with any creative genius - often not quite on the same levels as her friends. She was never happier than when she had a song in the works, and the other ponies put her talents to good use on many occasions!
Like with all the Flutter Ponies, Wing Song had a rough"poem" for a backcard story, which was also printed up in the Fact File. They give the vaguest hint to the pony's intended character, and Wing Song's was as follows:
"Flutter Ponies bring good luck,
On every single day,
And when you play with pony friends
Wing Song will watch you play
."
